There’s no better way to end the year – or start the next – than a theatrical night on Broadway. Whether you’re a seasoned theatre-goer or just looking to add a cultural highlight to your festive break, these productions are worth seeing before they get booked up.

‘Wicked’, Gershwin Theatre (ongoing)
This beloved reimagining of the 1939 classic, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, and Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West', has been casting a spell over audiences for two decades. Perfect for both newcomers and superfans, ‘Wicked’ offers an unforgettable experience with first-class performances, soaring music and industry-leading visuals. We recommend enjoying a pre-show dinner at Olive Garden or Sardi’s for a quintessential Broadway evening.
‘Back to the Future: The Musical’, Winter Garden Theatre (ongoing)

'Elf’, Marquis Theatre (until 4 January 2025)
Finally, this festive classic is coming to Broadway for nine weeks only, so be sure to book in advance before the final tickets sell out. This is a brilliant option for the whole family, where you can watch Buddy the Elf’s expedition to the Big Apple in search of his father. We can’t guarantee a feature from Will Ferrell (as in the film version), but this show is bound to be just as entertaining.
Of course, you can pair your theatrical adventures with a stay in one of New York’s most highly rated hotels on ASMALLWORLD Collection.
