Each has plenty of space and is furnished in dark woods, bamboo, crisp whites and funky lime greens. Spacious sunken baths are positioned cleverly to enjoy the views, along with fun outdoor showers. All have private decks and sun loungers, and many have private infinity pools. Each villa comes with a private butler ready to see to your every comfort.
The resort's signature restaurant, Dining on the Rocks, is famed across Koh Samui. Sitting on the absolute northern tip of the island, its al fresco dining with astounding, unbroken panoramic views and innovative fusion cuisine draws diners from across the entirety of Koh Samui every evening. As it only serves dinner, the hotel's other restaurant, Dining on the Hill, is open for lunch (and more casual dinners) with a delicious menu of international favourites and topnotch Thai cuisine. The attached bars have a laid back jungle hut vibe and are ideal for sundowners. If you’re too happy enjoying the sun and sand to head indoors, Drift at the Beach makes it easy to cool off with a cocktail or enjoy a light meal from the wood-fired grill without changing out of your swimwear.
Six Senses prides itself on its spas, and Samui is no different. The incredible range of treatments blending tradition and cutting-edge technology would be enough of a draw but add to that the choice between private spa villas or open-air traditional pavilions – both overlooking incredible views – and you have an experience not to be missed.
But even bliss can become banal, and Six Senses Samui provides plenty of activities. Besides the beautiful main infinity pool, open-air cinema experiences, fitness centre and complimentary yoga, tai chi and pilates classes, there's an exhaustive array of excursions available through the hotel. Whether it's guided market excursions followed by Thai cookery classes, boat excursions to nearby islands or prime snorkelling spots, Thai Boxing lessons or much more, there's plenty to do here.
Families are welcome at the Six Senses Samui with babysitting services, children's' menus at restaurants and child-friendly activities.
