Four Seasons Hotel Beijing
About the hotel
"Designed with the perfect blend of tradition and modernity, the Four Seasons Beijing is a gorgeous hotel with stellar dining and a marvellous spa."
This marrying of tradition and modernity is present throughout the Four Seasons Hotel Beijing. Dark woods and plush silks evoke the Imperial Palace, while even the smallest of the 313 rooms and suites feel spacious thanks to clever applications of cunningly concealed control centres to preserve space. A particular showstopper is the central atrium, through which hundreds of beautiful cast iron butterflies fly.

Dining and drinks can be a real treat here. Each restaurant and bar was designed by Japan's award-winning Spin Design Studio, each with a distinct character. Cai Yi Xuan serves internationally renowned Cantonese food; there’s a Chef’s Table within, worth nabbing a seat at if you can. Another particular highlight in the scheme of all things culinary, is Mio, a casual Italian restaurant with an open-air kitchen and a piping hot pizza oven. For ultimate relaxation, there’s the traditional Tea Garden, serving classic Chinese tea accompanied by the finest treats and sweets of Imperial China. For something stronger, head to the Lobby Bar, a happening scene after hours.
The hotel has several extra attractions, including the excellent spa which ranks amongst the finest in Beijing and offers an exhaustive array of luxurious treatments (including a children's menu if youngsters need some pampering). The pool enjoys beautiful views over the city, the perfect way to end your day.
Families are made to feel special while in residence. Kids’ menus are offered at the hotel restaurants, and the concierge team are experts at creating family orientated itineraries which can include inside access to Beijing’s wonderful craftsmen and artists’ district, Song Zhuang. Family-friendly tours of the Great Wall, Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven can be arranged. So can table tennis lessons with Olympic champions and coaches as well as access to the very best acrobat shows Beijing has to offer.
