FOUNDING STORY

Our co-founders Paul van Zyl and Nick Hamilton founded The Conduit after travelling the global conference circuit, discussing the world’s most pressing challenges at events like Davos and COP. Their idea: to create a space where change-makers can convene 365 days a year. A members’ club in London that’s centred around impact, where entrepreneursinvestors and activists can accelerate solutions to complex problems.

Guided by the philosophy of Ubuntu – meaning ‘I am because you are’ – the co-founders committed to using the club’s platform to hold a programme of events on social and environmental issues. Bringing people together in-person, eye-to-eye, to share ideas and make meaningful connections. A diverse community, unified by humanity. Optimistic in the face of all obstacles.

Because as Mandela said: ‘If we are to accomplish anything in this world, it will in equal measure be due to the work and achievements of others.’
