Greece’s southwestern Peloponnese peninsula is a dreamy Mediterranean escape known for its abundant natural beauty and swoon-worthy getaways. Set within 32 beachfront acres is one of these such getaways: W Costa Navarino. Opened in the summer of 2022, this is the W Hotels brand’s debut property in Greece and is a stylish, contemporary escape that welcomes guests ages twelve and older.

Within, the resort features 246 rooms, suites and villas, many of which have views of the water. In true W Hotels fashion, the accommodations feature descriptive names like the entry-level Wonderful Bay View room, the Wow Beachfront Infinity suite and the EWOW (‘extreme wow’, for the uninitiated) Beachfront Infinity Villa. All of the spaces feel bright, beachy and pleasantly modern, and all notably feature private balconies or terraces – many offer private pools as well. Decor emphasises the use of organic materials like wood, stone and straw, while large windows let the outside in. If you’re splurging, the villas range from two to three bedrooms and feature artsy, elevated interiors, spa-like bathrooms and decadent fully furnished outdoor spaces complete with picture-perfect infinity pools.

Begin the day with breakfast at Platia, which is named after the Greek word for ‘town square’. There you’ll find four unique areas: the Coffee Shop, the Deli, the Bakery, and the Cookery, which ensure you’ll start the day with whatever suits your fancy. Health-conscious guests will enjoy the vegetarian Green Pepper, which focuses on wholesome plant-based cuisine, while W Lounge is equally as good for a midday snack as a cocktail. Enjoy the sunset, drinks and light bites at Between before heading to the breezy Parelia for dinner. This Greek-inspired beach club serves modern Greek fare with a fun Mediterranean twist and has a chic, convivial ambience.

You’ll have no shortage of things to do at W Costa Navarino, should you desire some excitement between bouts of lounging on the 450-metre sandy beach. The property’s fitness facilities include a fully equipped gym alongside a 25-metre outdoor lap pool, and the WET Deck boasts a second large pool that gazes out blissfully over the water. The aptly named Watersports Hub offers all manner of adventure both above and below the waves, and Costa Navarino itself has four signature golf courses for those who prefer to keep their feet on dry ground.
