Ultima Courchevel
About the hotel
"A new ski resort in the oh-so-desirable Belvédère neighbourhood, Ultima Courchevel brings mountainside luxury to new heights with its impeccably designed chalets."
Thirteen chalets make up this indulgent resort, and each has either four or five bedrooms. To say that the interior design is exceptional would be an understatement: you’ll be sorely tempted to move in permanently. The eye for design and attentiveness to detail is obvious from the moment you set foot in your holiday home. Within, the gorgeous spaces are a rare blend of contemporary luxury and rustic ruggedness. The earthy, outdoorsy feel is owed to the wooden walls and exposed beam ceilings, while designer furniture (think tufted suede couches, nubuck leather, glass top tables and enormous beds) make the spaces feel supremely upscale. The glamour factor is upped by elegantly curated artwork: oversized photography prints on the walls and massive bronze vases standing tastefully in the corners. Gigantic windows let in plenty of natural light and tie the spaces together, while the views of the snow-covered mountains as seen from your private balcony (which is thoughtfully equipped with high-powered space heaters) are unforgettable.
One unique aspect of the resort that we love is the way in which it allows guests to personalise their experiences, ensuring that each bespoke stay suits its guests perfectly. Cook in your own sleek kitchen if you’re culinarily inclined (a great option for early risers with a penchant for being the first on the slopes), or let a world-class chef do it for you. The resort’s private chefs are just one part of the small army of employees dedicated to making your stay spectacular; you’ll be assigned a personal concierge for just that reason, as well.
When you’re not being fed delicious meals by your private chef, put on your boots and take to the slopes. Courchevel itself has hundreds of kilometres of ski runs, and the hotel provides lessons for new skiers and seasoned pros alike. The crystal chandelier-adorned spa will tend to any sore muscles you may have after a day spent on the mountain, while an on-site nail bar and hairdresser will have you looking your best for whatever après ski adventures you have in store.
