The hotel's gorgeous glass façade makes it an immediate standout on the fringes of downtown Seattle. Its edgy-yet-elegant design is owed to the Olson Kundig Architects – one of Seattle’s own firms. Within, the hotel marries its architectural modernity with just a touch of mid-century warmth. This masterfully executed aesthetic strikes the perfect balance of old and new, and it extends to the lovely guestrooms, making them feel like luxurious apartments ready to welcome guests home. Inspired by both the aviation industry and natural landscape, the rooms are elegantly restrained – but could never be considered boring. The sophisticated colour palette of crisp whites, nautical blues and bronze accents is made to feel homey by the addition of beautiful hardwood floors and spunky modern art.
