To catch a sighting, cosy up at the Leopard Bar with a delicious afternoon tea, watch and wait. There is plenty to do in Table Mountain National Park, from riding the famous cable car to walking trails; the hotel will pack you a picnic to go.
When the bright lights call, take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service to Cape Town city centre and the V&A Waterfront which are about a 15-minute drive away, or a helicopter transfer from the helipad can be arranged. For casual days, Camps Bay Beach is about ten minutes away.
The renowned Azure Restaurant offers a modern French menu with South African influences, and the fresh seafood (especially when eaten on the outdoor terrace) is a real hit. Special Gastronomy Astronomy dinners can be staged in a romantic spot close to the hotel beneath the stars, while the award-winning wine cellar is another great reason to visit for a gourmet experience with local flair. Enjoy ‘Tea by the Sea’ in the Conservatory restaurant or Leopold Bar, or take advantage of the vegan high tea menu for a decadent plant-based experience. For something more casual, request a luxury picnic in a picturesque location or visit the Cafe Grill to enjoy casual all-day dining with national park views.
For pampering, the spa features a Rasul chamber, hydrotherapy pools and a host of treatments that can be taken in the outdoor gazebos. Do as much or as little as you wish here: if you’re in the mood for a movie, there’s a private cinema room; if you seek some rays, take up a spot beside the infinity pool; and if you're with kids, settle down near the smaller secluded rock pool, where they'll find ample water toys to keep them entertained.
One Bedroom Suites have a separate lounge which doubles as a sleeping area, ideal for a child. Otherwise, the only decision you have to make is whether you want a mountain or a sea view. But if you’re splashing the cash, the Presidential Suite offers every conceivable luxury including private butler service and a wrap-around terrace with ocean views.
