Interiors showcase the artistic eye of Puerto Rican fashion designer Nono Maldonado and are stylish sanctuaries. Even at entry-level, all accommodations are spacious, airy and wonderfully contemporary. The designer’s personality shines through in the details: a robin’s egg blue chair here, an artistic side table there and discerning use of whimsical patterns throughout. The colour palette of calming earth tones is livened here and there and there by jewel-toned accents and potted orchids. The spaces are flooded with natural light thanks to full-wall windows that open up onto private outdoor spaces. All accommodations have these spaces – we recommend getting one with an ocean view so you can make the absolute most of it. Spa-like bathrooms are positively palatial – so much so that they might even be our favourite part of the rooms.
You’ll have two restaurants to choose from come mealtimes: the Mediterranean Paros Restaurant which serves killer seafood in an upscale dining room, and the eclectic Seagrapes Restaurant, where guests can dine in the fresh ocean air. Seaside elegance abounds in the Saint Regis Bar, which features breathtaking views of the Atlantic alongside marvellous works by local artists.
You’ll have much to do between meals, whether that means playing a few rounds on the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course or visiting the dreamy Iridium Spa for some serious pampering. The Tortuga Kids’ Club is sure to keep the resort’s youngest guests thoroughly entertained, so drop off the little ones and get exploring: rent a bicycle, walk the property’s four miles of nature trails or take to the waves with whichever water sport your heart desires
