Set on a quiet street in the neighbourhood that shares its name, The Soho Hotel is a vibrant boutique property located within easy reach of some of the best that London has to offer. Part of the ever-enchanting Firmdale Hotels collection, this lovely little stay is a breath of fresh air in a location that's hard to beat.

Kit Kemp is to thank for the hotel’s 96 bedrooms and suites, all of which are individually designed and brimming with life. A homage to Kemp’s signature blend of eclectic artsiness and traditional country cottage vibes, all are splashed through with a contemporary edge that keeps the spaces feeling fresh. The resulting interiors are visually delightful and memorable as can be. Expect bright colours, whimsical patterns, spectacularly unique headboards and warehouse style floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the rooms with natural light. Bathrooms are elegantly appointed in granite and oak, and all the spaces – even at entry level – are reasonably sized. Suites are visions of whimsical luxury, and some of the most fabulous options boast their own private wrap-around terraces (furnished, of course) with spectacular views over London. Keep an eye out for the other perks found in these choice digs: champagne, deep bathtubs, attractive drawing rooms and hand-embroidered headboards designed in collaboration with Clio Peppiatt are a few that come to mind.

You’ll have no shortage of fabulous dining options in the hotel’s immediate vicinity; in fact, some of London’s very best dining is virtually on the property’s doorstep. The one-Michelin-starred Aulis Soho is literally two minutes away, while getting to the twelve-seat Evelyn’s Table (which holds a Michelin star of its own) will take just a few minutes more. However, should you find yourself uninclined to wander, you’ll have a solid option located within the hotel itself. Called Refuel Bar & Restaurant, this eatery is a British and European restaurant that serves classic brasserie dishes. Expect to find familiar favourites executed well: the menu features dishes like Chicken Schnitzel, Roast Lamb with Ratatouille and Cornish Sea Bass. All meals of the day can be taken at Refuel, as can a cheerful Afternoon Tea.

As is only fitting given its address, The Soho Hotel is a little hub of culture unto itself. Live music by local artists is performed every Wednesday in the restaurant, which also hosts a monthly ‘Taste of Britain’ experience. Cinephiles will delight in the hotel’s Film Club, which is hosted in its swanky private screening rooms and showcases new releases and award-winning classics alike.
