The Ritz-Carlton Dubai is a lovely aesthetic departure from the high-rises that dominate the landscape behind it. Blending colonial-style luxury with Mediterranean appeal, the resort’s low rise building sprawls elegantly among palm trees and pristine gardens. The private beach that the resort sits on is arguably one of Dubai’s very best, offering plush white sand underfoot and stunning views of the sea.

Those fabulous vistas can be further enjoyed from the privacy of your room – all accommodations have outdoor spaces with beautiful views of the water and gardens. Inside, the rooms are soothing yet cheerful with pastel walls and rich chestnut furnishings. Inspired by traditional drawing rooms, the bar feels inviting and timeless – have a perfectly smoked cocktail while you listen to live jazz.

The resort’s pretty spa melds traditional Eastern techniques with contemporary European methods. If you like a little novelty with your spa day, opt for a treatment that uses camel milk, Dead Sea salt or diamond dust – or you can always choose to go for a thermo-active enzymatic detox.
