Whether you stay in an entry-level room, a suite or one of the resorts four fabulous villas, you'll be treated to a soothing respite set in a palette that blends natural materials with neutral, blue-punctuated tones. All are lovely and possess an earthy sense of luxury, but upgrading to a suite is well worth it – especially if it comes with a picture-perfect infinity pool. The glorious villas are downright palatial, and their sprawling architecture combined with sweeping views of the water make you feel like you're all alone on the island.
Though this Resort feels smaller than it is (in a good way), its size comes out at mealtimes. But – given that that means guests have five restaurants and two bars to choose from – we’re certainly not complaining. You'll be spoilt for choice as far as cuisines go, with something (more likely multiple somethings) for everyone. Isola feels oh-so-romantic with its Italian food and breathtaking views, while inventive Asian-fusion cuisine can be found at Asia Deep Blue. If Greek cuisine is more your cup of tea, you'll have two al fresco options: Anthòs and Blue Door, both of which are excellent. And whether you're in the mood for a cup of coffee or a postprandial libation, Arsenali Lounge Bar will see to it that you get your fix complete with dazzling views of Spinalonga.
There's no shortage of things to do here, whether that means getting your daily workout in the fitness centre, on the tennis courts or out on the waves, or whether it means indulging in a wine tasting or pampering treatments in the blissful spa. If you're in the mood for a little more adventure, take a trip on a fishing boat, or explore the nearby village of Plaka.
