Wood flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows provide a loft-style feel. Add to this features like leather-encased Bluetooth speakers, yoga mats and a ‘maxi bar’ stocked with complimentary snacks, soft drinks, beer, juice and water, and it’s very easy to feel at home here.
Down in the basement of the hotel, there’s the MI XUN day spa where you can relax with a treatment, do a few laps in the stunning 33-metre swimming pool, or warm up those muscles in the sauna or steam room. At the gym, which is open 24 hours a day, you can work out on state-of-the-art equipment, take a yoga class or visit the HYPOXI treatment room for low impact exercise.
There are some equally stylish restaurant and bar options here, too, including Cafe Gray Deluxe, sister restaurant to the iconic Café Gray Deluxe at The Upper House, Hong Kong. It serves international dishes as well as cocktails and nibbles, inside or out on the terrace. There are other options as well: Frasca serves Italian, and Sui Tang Li is famous for its Chinese cuisine served in bowls made to share. Tucked away on the third level, you’ll find the secret Sui Tang Shang cocktail lounge with craft cocktails inspired by the five elements and tea-infused vodkas.
This is one of the most fashionable hotels in town with a very sophisticated and grown-up feel to it, one that’s most definitely geared to an adult crowd. So, if you have kids in tow, you’re better off choosing somewhere else to stay that's more family-focused.
