Rooms and suites all face the beach and ocean or the lagoon which surrounds the property – home to turtles, dolphins and colourful fish. Wake up to the sound of the dolphins splashing as you enjoy your morning cup of joe on your balcony. Rooms are beautifully appointed, with the finest linens and furnishings in soft shades and Hawaiian prints; they are handsome, comfortable and cosy. Hawaiian coffee, as much as you can drink, is provided, and you can stock your mini-bar as you see fit. Bathrooms, too, are ultra-luxurious with Toto toilets and beautifully scented amenities.
Coming with the family? As children are very welcome here, and restaurants have choices for kids – there are ample opportunities for them to enjoy themselves. If they ever get tired of watching the dolphins frolic, they can join in scheduled activities like painting and marine life touch tanks.
Service is fine-tuned and attentive, starting from the moment you are welcomed with a lei until the day you depart. Begin each day with the buffet breakfast served oceanside at Plumeria Beach House (you’ll be back) and then the day is yours. Take a hula class, paddle boarding or a surfing lesson, spend time at the spa or a few hours in the gym. After which, you’ll be ready to spend time by the pool or at the beach where you can order lunch brought to your chair. If you prefer, the Seaside Grill might work. There’s plenty of choices for dinner, too, including superb Italian at Arancino, Haku’s for Hawaiian specialities and The Veranda for cocktails and live music as the night winds down. Tomorrow, of course, is another day in paradise.
