You can expect to be sufficiently wined and dined without ever needing to leave the hotel thanks to a vibrant assortment of venues for food and drink – including an experimental French patisserie called Javalab which is set to open on the horizon. The restaurant Harbour Society is a reimagining of French cuisine with breathtaking views, a snazzy dining room and inclusive menus that thoughtfully cater to vegetarian and gluten-free guests. Set on the rooftop is HI-SO, where you’ll find some of the best cocktails (and some of the best views) in town. This stylish spot is a draw for hotel guests and locals alike and tends to be a lively affair – if you’re looking for a quiet drink or a peaceful nightcap, best search elsewhere. MIXO, the hotel’s lobby bar, is a stylish spot for a drink and a light bite before heading out for the evening – or really just before heading upstairs to the rooftop.
Though there’s no spa in the hotel itself, guests can visit SO/ Auckland’s sister property Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour for indulgent treatments at the Sofitel Spa. And you needn’t leave the hotel at all to get a workout in; a trendy fitness centre is equipped with all the latest gear, and a twenty-metre luxury heated lap pool features absolutely dazzling views.
