Spacious and well-appointed, the decor has hints of Arabia in the lights and bed panels. The colour scheme is neutral and blends beautifully with the surrounds of sand and mountain. Marble bathrooms (they’re big) have both bathtubs and separate showers with L’Occitane amenities on hand.
When it comes to recreation and relaxing both, there’s a lot to enjoy at Al Husn. The private beach is wonderful for swimming, snorkelling or kayaking and has its own beach bar, and the huge infinity pool has an adjacent snack bar too. Eager to please is the impression you’ll get from the staff and the hotel’s approach to hospitality in general. A good example is that complimentary afternoon high tea is served daily, as are drinks (alcoholic, yes) and canapés in the evenings.
There's a very well-appointed gym that’s open 24 hours and a spa that uses Occitane products. The city of Muscat is only 20 minutes away (the airport is 45), and while you’ll have come with plans to visit the Mutrah souk if nothing else, you’ll have a hard time dragging yourself away from this heavenly locale.
