The hotel is home to one of the largest private art collections in Poland, with a trove of exquisitely curated pieces permanently housed within. Be sure to arrange a tour of the collection with the resident Art Collection Manager, who can also arrange private visits to galleries and studios nearby. Needless to say, an abundance of artwork is present throughout, decorating practically every space from the lobby to the guestrooms.
Accommodations – of which there are 106 – come in a pleasant array of rooms and suites. All boast at least one piece of modern art by a Polish creative, and the interior design also gives off an artistic ambience. Though many of the rooms’ elements are contemporary, the design also draws inspiration from the hotel's creative and artistic presence in the 1920s (it has a reputation for being a favourite hideaway of writers). The result is a sophisticated, yet welcoming, environment resplendent with handcrafted furniture, luxurious amenities and beautiful bathrooms. For an exceptionally special occasion, Raffles Royal Suite is fit for a king and offers 228 square metres of dazzlingly designed luxury alongside stellar views of the city.
The dining scene at Raffles is utterly superb, and despite the hotel’s relatively small size, there are five stellar options for food and drink. The Europejski Grill is the hotel’s signature restaurant, which occupies a bright and beautiful space accompanied by a terrace that gazes out at Pilsudski Square. There, Polish classics get a contemporary makeover, and the simplicity of pure ingredients is elevated to create beautiful dishes. More dining – alongside fine cigars and excellent cognacs – can be found at the lounge-style, sixteen-seat Humidor, while sweet teeth can be indulged at the Louise Warszawa patisserie. You’ll have two options for libations as well: the snazzy Long Bar – which was inspired by its iconic Singapore counterpart – and Pavilion: a summer cocktail bar enveloped by pretty gardens.
