Situated on the city’s most famed avenue in the ritzy Recoleta barrio, a stay at this landmark property, the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, will permit you to discover the architecturally delightful and culturally rich district on foot. Dining here is something special, especially if you’re up for the true Argentinian experience that Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca’s delivers. Go for an early evening wine and cheese tasting to taste the local vintages they propose, and come back later for dinner, armed with an idea of what tickles your palate. Let the expert sommelier guide you in the choice of a suitable wine to perfectly match your meal. For pre or post-prandial bevvies, there’s a handsome club-like bar that has a fireplace: wonderfully welcoming if you’re here in the winter. Gioia is the hotel’s Italian restaurant; dine indoors or outside on the terraces. All meals are served morning through night here, and don’t miss the weekend brunch if you’re in town. Los Salones del Piano Nobile is another option for breakfast, served indoors and out, all-day dining and high tea.

Work it all off at the 25-metre indoor lap pool or in the well-appointed gym. The spa is one of the city’s best, with its own hydrotherapy room, treatment rooms and two suites with private pools. Still, if you need your trousers adjusting after all the indulging, pop into Luigi de Carlo’s on-site tailor shop.
