Stay a while as there are water sports you can indulge in, and for libations and nibbles, big or small, the Rhode's End Beach Bar & Grill has you covered.

Locals in the know are familiar with The Catch of the Pelican – open for dinner most days – and their renowned brunch on weekends. “Only in America”, you’ll say to yourself, when you are informed by your waiter that bottomless Bloody Marys cost $35 and come with, we kid you not, 48,000 topping combinations. You needn’t order anything else as you top up your drink with everything from sausages to freshly shucked oysters. There are several other nice dining and drinking spots here, plus a coffee bar serving some suitably strong Illy coffee and sweet accompaniments.
Besides the beach, there are three swimming pools. And besides golf, there are 15 tennis courts, a pro shop and a fitness centre. After a day in the sun, head to the spa which offers Ayurvedic and Eastern therapies and has a full-service salon.
