From the moment you arrive at Zermatt’s train station the enchantment begins, as you’re transported to the hotel by horse-drawn carriage – just make sure your luggage is up to snuff. Once inside the lobby, you’ll be wowed by the posh reception area that’s decked out with a Swiss pine finish and a huge chandelier as its centrepiece.

Comfortable rooms reflect the surroundings, cosy and slick, and you’ll have a choice of Alpine Style or Chalet Style, as well as the option to pay for a Matterhorn view – recommended.
