An upscale hotel with a killer location, JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City has one of the best addresses in town for exploring the Mexican capital. The hotel’s setting in the heart of the refined Polanco district places it opposite Chapultepec Park and within walking distance of all the drinking, dining and entertainment its guests could hope for.

Subdued sophistication is the aesthetic of choice within the hotel's 312 accommodations, all of which share the same sense of understated luxury. The stylish spaces are set in warm, earthy shades, with tall wooden headboards and beautifully patterned carpets adding a distinct sense of place. Suites up the luxe factor with their artistic four-poster beds, posh accents and excellent views: book the loftiest room you can to take advantage of the dazzling urban vistas. Xanat Bistro & Terraza is the hotel's signature restaurant, which serves innovative Mexican cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The dining room is beautiful, and the terrace is even better with its romantic ambience and gorgeous Mexico City views. For a light lunch or a cocktail before a night out on the town, the inviting Lobby Bar has you covered. That’s all there is as far as dining onsite is concerned, but rest assured that you’ll have a wealth of further options virtually on your doorstep. Try Astrid y Gastón for refined Peruvian fare, or El Bajio for more authentic Mexican – both are just steps away from the hotel.

A pretty outdoor pool is open from seven in the morning until eight at night, and whilst it isn’t the sunniest spot (thanks to the shade from nearby buildings), it’s still a pretty place to go for a dip or lounge while taking in the views. The hotel's fitness centre is well-equipped with all the latest gear alongside steam rooms and saunas to promote recovery.

When it comes time to explore, the whole city will be your oyster: from the hotel, guests can easily access must-visit sites such as Chapultepec Castle, The National Auditorium and the Floating Gardens Of Xochimilco – to name just a few.
