A few steps away are some of NYC’s finest restaurants, located within the adjoining (an indoor passageway will get you there) Time Warner Center: Per Se, and Masa. And there are several others, not as high end, but certainly worth a visit. There’s superb shopping here, too, including names like Sephora, Coach, Cole Haan, Williams Sonoma, Amazon Books, Hugo Boss and many more. And there’s a jazz club; you get the picture.
Recreation in the hotel is fantastic. The spa reflects the hotel’s Asian heritage and treatments are sublime. There’s a huge indoor lap pool and a fantastic gym with a view. Yoga classes and personal training are extra.
When it comes to rooms, all have good views, although the furnishings, it must be said, are outdated. Bathrooms, while large and marble, are screaming out for a refurb. If you opt for a suite, however, none of the above applies – they’re magnificent.
