Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel is set in a achingly beautiful 15th century Oxfordshire manor house, but its utterly magnificent setting is still not the most impressive thing about it: created by renowned chef Raymond Blanc, the property has a reputation known far and wide as being home to one of the most exceptional culinary experiences in all of Britain. In its very first year of existence – back in 1984 – the hotel was honoured with two Michelin stars, both of which as it has retained to this day. That culinary excellence combines with glorious guest rooms and a quintessential English setting to create this one-of-a-kind experiential hotel.

The hotel’s setting in the charming village of Great Milton places it within the rolling hills of the Oxfordshire countryside. The authentic British charm that characterises the environment extends to within each of the property’s 32 guestrooms. Designed by Emily Todhunter and inspired by Raymond Blanc's travels abroad, these delightful spaces are at once both luxurious and wonderfully homey. Rooms and suites come in a wide range of options to choose from, and personality varies quite dramatically from one accommodation to the next. Some, for example, are regally appointed in shades of robin’s egg and powder blue, while others are dark, handsomely furnished and feel like spacious wood-panelled caves. The world-class restaurant is the only British establishment to have sustained its two Michelin stars for an astonishing 35 years, and to call the cuisine “exceptional” would be an understatement.
