Kristinia Lech, with its 34 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, is a stylish, family-run establishment, where every room is individually themed and decorated and, along with the public areas, adorned with original pieces of art including paintings, sculptures and tapestries. You can’t help but be swept away in the fairytaleness of life here, beginning with a morning tap on your door announcing the arrival of your breakfast.

Butler service is included in the room rates, as is the shuttle service that takes you to the base of the ski lifts and back. WiFi is free, as is WiFi on-the-go which works when you’re out and about on the slopes or in town. Rooms vary in size and views, so be sure to stipulate your preferences when booking. Each is boldly decorated with gorgeous fabrics and in striking colour schemes, and the tiled bathrooms have separate tubs and showers. Otherwise, you could dine outside on the sun deck and absorb the mountain views. There’s a restaurant serving Swiss specialities of cheesy origins and a fine dining restaurant as well. Breakfast, all-day drinks and lite bites are served in the lobby lounge, while a pianist plays tunes on the Steinway grand piano most days at the Rote Bar, another gorgeously appointed chalet-style room where the drinks are as good as the music and ambience.

You may have come here to this very beautiful part of the world to enjoy the après-ski scene (even in summer), shop in the boutiques on Hauptstrasse (lederhosen, anyone?) and enjoy the fabulous food scene, and we wouldn’t blame you at all, but if you’re here to get active and to leave fitter than when you arrived, the Kristina can help you achieve your goals, indoors or out. The winter sports and warmer weather activities on offer are fantastic, of course, and the hotel’s personal trainer is too. You’ll leave here ready to take on the world.
