There isn’t a whole lot of variety style-wise from one room to the next, but all are perfectly aesthetically pleasing with their shared colour palette of creams, greys and taupes. Jewel-toned accents in the form of throw pillows and statement chairs add a burst of life to the spaces, as do intricately patterned wallpaper and – in some – tufted headboards. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and gaze out over the French Quarter, Canal Street or the city at large.

There’s just one restaurant and one lounge at the hotel, but additional dining options are not even missed given the abundance of eateries that line the city streets. Fogo de Chao – the hotel’s signature restaurant – is an upscale Brazilian steakhouse that features stellar fire-roasted steaks cooked in the Brazilian tradition, alongside an excellent wine list that makes the venue popular with guests and locals alike. The Lobby Lounge – while pleasant enough – is nothing to write home about, and we would suggest skipping this in favour of the more exciting options nearby.

The hotel's outdoor saltwater pool opens early and remains open late, and the hotel also has a reasonably well-equipped 24-hour fitness centre. There is unfortunately no spa on the premises, though you’ll find a handful of other wellness escapes within walking distance.
