Choosing a room isn’t too hard, especially as they’re all pretty special. It’s worth paying the extra for club-level and water-facing digs, no matter the size. Rooms are large, decorated in regal, rich tones with dark wood furniture, archways, plush carpets, Arabian-inspired accent pieces and balconies. The lack of a Nespresso machine may be a deal-breaker for some, but the Wi-Fi is fast and free, and the bathrooms are large and have several choices of bathrobes and slippers. Amenities are from Amouage, the Omani perfumer.
Have breakfast on the lobby-level terrace with views out over the water. Enjoy dinner at any one of the wonderful restaurants right here. Along with several bars, there’s a Thai, a Spanish, a steakhouse and the most dramatic which is perched in the water and accessed by a bridge: Pierchic.
The property has two indoor pools and several outdoor ones. Talise Spa is one of the best in Dubai, and the gym here at Medinat Jumeriah is one of the biggest you’ll have ever seen at any hotel. Without a doubt, kids are welcome here at Al Qasr. The kids’ club is fantastic.
