Ideal for guests who would rather avoid the tourist crush found in the city’s most popular neighbourhoods, this sleek hotel enjoys a quiet location that keeps it removed from the hubbub while still being close to enough to the action to keep things interesting – there are plenty of restaurants and shopping destinations within walking distance (not to mention Michelin-starred dining within the hotel itself), and downtown Madrid is just a quick jaunt on the metro or taxi ride away.

Inside, they are an aesthetically pleasing blend of classic style and modern allure, with art deco accents livening up the refined, elegant spaces. If you can swing it, book a room on one of the hotel's higher floors; these spaces feature the best views in the hotel. The top floor options are the most splendid of all, thanks especially to stunning garden terraces with their own private jacuzzis. Santceloni Restaurant is the undisputed highlight of the hotel's gastronomy scene, which should come as no surprise given that the eatery has been awarded an impressive two Michelin stars. Easily one of the best eateries in all of Madrid, this imaginative restaurant is helmed by Chef Óscar Velasco and offers breathtaking reimaginings of traditional recipes, boasting a new – and unforgettable – introduction to Spanish cuisine. While this restaurant is certainly the star of the show, guests will have two other superb options to choose from. La Manzana is a unique eatery set in the hotel’s beautiful atrium, with a menu that focuses on superbly fresh Mediterranean food. Mery Barbola Bar is located in the lobby and is a perfect meeting spot for a glass of wine or a spot of sushi from the sushi bar.
