"Set between the summits of Corvatsch and Corviglia, Giardino Mountain is a refreshingly modern, perfectly placed ski resort that promises chic rooms, Michelin-starred dining and outdoor adventures for all seasons."

St. Moritz’ luxurious Giardino Mountain sits between the summits of Corvatsch and Corviglia, some 2000 metres above sea level. Surrounded by alpine forests and scenic lakes, the hotel is a contemporary getaway that couldn’t be more scenic if it tried, and it’s a fabulous home base for those looking to venture out into nature. (Or for those who merely want to appreciate it from the comfort of their hotel rooms.) In the wintertime, Giardino is a full-fledged ski resort; if you’re visiting in the warmer months, the hotel pares down its facilities to transform into a charming bed-and-breakfast style getaway.

Whenever you choose to visit, you’re in for a treat. Rooms are refreshingly modern with a chic design scheme that stands out when compared to the more conventional chalet-style aesthetics found in many of the region's other hotels. Rooms are refreshingly modern with a chic design scheme that stands out when compared to the more conventional chalet-style aesthetics found in many of the region's other hotels. Tufted headboards, fluffy footrests and brilliant splashes of fuschia contribute to the funky (yet fashionable) vibe, while vast expanses of rich wood, ivory walls and wispy white curtains maintain a sophisticated, luxe feel. Streamlined bathrooms, stand-alone tubs and private outdoor spaces are the norm in even entry-level rooms, though upgrading to a suite is worth it for the extra legroom. The jewel of the lot is the indulgent Mountain Suite which oozes designer appeal alongside a roaring fireplace and panoramic mountain views.

Ecco St. Mortiz is undoubtedly one of the finest dining establishments in town; its experimental cuisine has earned it two Michelin stars. If you’re visiting in winter, a meal (or two) there is an absolute must. Ecco closes when the weather warms, so guests visiting in the summertime will have to make do with the two remaining restaurants. Thankfully, they hold their own: Hide & Seek is a contemporary and playful spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the hearty Engadine cuisine found at Stüva will properly fortify even the most ambitious of outdoorsmen.

The dipiù spa at Giardino Mountain offers guests plenty to do between outdoor excursions, whether that means staying active with personal training, a swimming pool, yoga classes, or rejuvenating with revitalizing facials and massages. The pampering needn’t stop there, as the spa also offers saunas, jacuzzis, a solarium and a hair salon with a comprehensive menu of beauty treatments to ensure you leave looking – and feeling – your best.
