A resort town set on the Arabian Gulf, Al Khobar is a true oasis in eastern Saudi Arabia. Peaceful by day and lively by night, the city boasts pretty beaches, numerous cultural attractions and some of the largest upscale shopping malls in The Kingdom. Within it is Al Olaya – which is one of the city's most prestigious neighbourhoods – within which you’ll find Grand Hyatt Al Khobar Hotel and Residences. Bold, luxurious and brilliantly located, this superb hotel enjoys a prime location in the commercial and retail heart of the city and features striking urban views alongside a bridge that connects the hotel to Al Rashid Mall.

Inside the hotel, you'll find 368 guestrooms, including 45 suites and a further 54 residences. All are eye-catching and positively flooded with natural light thanks to large windows that almost span the entire walls. The interior design scheme is quite enchanting: equal parts clean contemporary design and regal reflections of the proud city surrounding the hotel. Modern furniture feels edgy and artistic, an aesthetic which is pleasantly softened by the presence of classic accents like tufted headboards. Colour is lent to the otherwise neutral spaces by way of artsy rugs, brilliant blue accents and strategically placed vases of fresh flowers. Beautiful marble bathrooms feature large soaking tubs in addition to rain showers, and some lucky rooms even have amazing city views from the bathrooms.

The marvellous dining scene at the hotel features an inspired assortment of venues encompassing Arabian, European and Asian cuisines. For the first meal of the day, head to Asmahan, which offers a contemporary interpretation of Arabian cuisine for breakfast in addition to serving lunch and dinner. A little later in the morning, you’ll be able to snag a pick-me-up in the form of coffee and a delicate pastry from Rosalie, the hotel's superb French patisserie. Sakana House – which is open for dinner only – is a steak and seafood restaurant that channels pan-Asian culinary traditions into its bold and visually striking dishes. In the lobby, you can find the aptly named Grandeur, which is a lovely lounge area enveloped by impressive architecture and eye-catching artwork.

There's a spa on-site if you find yourself in need of a little pampering (with a Moroccan bath), as well as a well-equipped fitness centre. We are particularly partial to the beautiful swimming pool, which is large enough for laps and is surrounded by a stunning, gallery-esque space.
