Already marvellous, the space is made even better by serving as a gallery in its own right and is resplendent with works by the likes of Mick Rock, Frank Stella, Adi Oren and Daniel Mazzone.
Should you feel inclined to begin your NYC culinary journey immediately after arriving, you’ll find several good options within the hotel itself. On the rooftop, you’ll finish Saishin, which means ‘something new’. This omakase eatery is a love letter to traditional Japanese cuisine and has options for dining both indoors and outdoors, with great views to boot. Elsewhere on that uppermost level, you’ll find the aptly named Gansevoort Rooftop, a visually enchanting spot for light coastal European fare and a cocktail or two. More of the latter (alongside caffeine), can be found at C & C (which stands for coffee and cocktails), and The Chester serves bistro fare below.
There’s an edgy fitness studio kitted out with all the latest gear – Peloton bikes included – but our favourite spot would have to be the rooftop’s 45-foot heated pool, which is open year-round and features 360° views of Manhattan.

Built to entertain, the 1,700 sq. ft. duplex plays gallery with works from renowned artists Frank Stella, Adi Oren, Daniel Mazzone and Mick Rock. The space was designed exclusively by Poliform, who collaborated with their network of international designers to feature shoppable elements throughout the penthouse. Striking 30-foot floor-to-ceiling windows greet guests upon entering, showcasing unbeatable views of the Hudson River. The first floor serves as a communal space, anchored by a Mondrian sofa and a striking coffee table made of rare Saharan black marble with orange lashes of color. A floor-to-ceiling fireplace balances the room, flanked by dramatic bookcases on either slide. Throughout the interior, dark wood finishes and slate floors lend to an overall luxurious aesthetic. The bedroom suite is outfitted with custom Poliform furniture, extensive custom closets, and two bathrooms with steam showers and one deep soaking bathtub. Built to entertain, the 1,700 sq. ft. duplex plays gallery with works from renowned artists Frank Stella, Adi Oren, Daniel Mazzone and Mick Rock. The space was designed exclusively by Poliform, who collaborated with their network of international designers to feature shoppable elements throughout the penthouse. Striking 30-foot floor-to-ceiling windows greet guests upon entering, showcasing unbeatable views of the Hudson River. The first floor serves as a communal space, anchored by a Mondrian sofa and a striking coffee table made of rare Saharan black marble with orange lashes of color. A floor-to-ceiling fireplace balances the room, flanked by dramatic bookcases on either slide. Throughout the interior, dark wood finishes and slate floors lend to an overall luxurious aesthetic. The bedroom suite is outfitted with custom Poliform furniture, extensive custom closets, and two bathrooms with steam showers and one deep soaking bathtub. A fully stocked bar and concert-clarity Sonance surround sound system round out the experience. A second adjoining king bedroom can be added.
