"Set in Washington D.C.’s charming Georgetown neighbourhood, the Four Seasons boasts spacious guestrooms, a spectacular art collection and a killer steakhouse."

There are so many things to love about Washington D.C.’s Georgetown neighbourhood: the charming 18th and 19th-century homes, the eclectic restaurants, the lively nightlife... With its riverside location, picturesque gardens and cobblestone streets, Georgetown is a far cry from the hectic hustle and bustle found closer to the centre of the capital city. And at the heart of this lovely locale is the neighborhood’s grand dame hotel: the USA’s original Four Seasons, and one of the city's very best hotels.

With four decades of experience under its belt, the Four Seasons has a reputation for attracting a glamorous crowd: whether in the form of diplomats, visiting royalty or celebrities, this luxury hotel has hosted them all. Once you cross the threshold of the hotel's rather unassuming brick exterior, you’ll immediately find yourself surrounded by an exceptional collection of art. The collection is more than 1600 pieces strong and includes a rare Andy Warhol alongside hundreds of pieces...   Show more

The collection is more than 1600 pieces strong and includes a rare Andy Warhol alongside hundreds of pieces commissioned specifically for the hotel.

Further in, posh rooms are spacious at all levels, though the aesthetic will vary slightly depending on whether you’re staying in the East or the West wing. All are sophisticated, but West Wing rooms skew more towards the contemporary and artsy, while those in the East Wing feel a touch more Parisian. All are beautiful, resplendent with designer furniture and done up in a soft palette of neutral shades that echo those found in the lobby and the rest of the hotel. Overall, the spaces feel wonderfully calming and pleasantly residential; we especially like the marble and limestone bathrooms and the deep soaking tubs found within.

There’s no shortage of dining possibilities in Georgetown, and a stay in the Four Seasons means some of the best options are literally right downstairs. The hotel's dining venue Bourbon Steak is a carnivore's dream, and the restaurant's lounge (which has a lively outdoor patio) serves familiar favourites with creative twists. The city’s rich and famous flock to the restaurant Seasons for its famous “power breakfast”: the food served there is excellent, and the people-watching is even better. Last but not least, the Eno Azur pop-up restaurant channels the flavors of the French Riviera for a heavenly outdoor experience – complete with fabulous rosé and joie de vivre, of course.
