All are fashionable as can be, set in romantic and refreshing shades: cream, taupe and ivory dominate the light colour palette, while accents of dark wood, gold and navy add just enough contrast to keep the spaces interesting. Enormous windows take up nearly an entire wall and are flanked by elegant curtains that extend all the way up to high ceilings. Oversized tufted leather headboards add a touch of regal flair, while framed contemporary artwork keep the spaces feeling appropriately modern (the decadent chaise lounges are a nice touch as well). If you're splurging, the suites are fabulous and the speciality suites are divine. The Royal Suite is the crème-de-la-crème of them all with its lavish interiors, jaw-dropping design and original historical features.
There are a good variety of options for drinking and dining within the hotel itself, to speak nothing of the eateries that line the nearby streets. Dani – which is named for celebrity chef Dani Garcia, who helms it – is a dynamic brasserie that focuses on traditional Andalusian cuisine in a casually elegant environment. This venue is open for all meals of the day, and the splendid rooftop views to be found there are the icing on the cake. For something entirely different, head to Isa, where you'll find delectable Asian-inspired tapas in a laid-back – yet classy – gastrobar environment. El Patio is the perfect place for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat, and be sure not to miss the afternoon tea served there, which represents the perfect merging of Spanish and British traditions.
