Comprising several Spanish colonial buildings that contain just 37 rooms and suites, this Belmond Hotel property whisks its guests back in time to the beauty and enchantment of the 17th and 18th centuries.

History and culture permeate every inch of this fairytale getaway, and the Old World ambience is made all the more special thanks to the bubbling fountains and lush gardens that decorate the property. The overall ambience is one of exquisite tranquillity, making the hotel a welcome respite from the bustling streets of the city.

All of the hotel’s 37 accommodations are individually and uniquely designed, and each is lovingly infused with the spirit of San Miguel. The airy spaces feature high ceilings and colour palettes set in shades of cream and blue that are punctuated by dark wood accents and rich tile floors. Heritage is everywhere within, from the handpicked antique furniture to the original artwork and wrought iron chandeliers. Many rooms feature original architectural accents like exposed wooden beams, which heighten the sense of place which is already so profound. Bathrooms are delightful with their polished copper sinks and Talavera-tiled floors, and some of the loftier options feature standalone bronze bathtubs as well.
