Dining at the hotel is an extravagant affair, beginning with a lavish breakfast buffet spread that features everything one could hope for and then some – caviar and champagne included. The first meal of the day will be laid out in the lovely Restaurant Romanoff which serves dinner as well. Delicious though the cuisine there is, the hotel’s culinary showstopper is Michelin-starred Da Vittorio: the Italian tasting menu served there is not to be missed. The hotel’s sun terrace claims to be the most beautiful in St. Moritz – a bold claim but one that’s certainly hard to argue. There, wooden chairs are draped in cosy blankets to guard against the chill as guests take in the unforgettable panoramic views over afternoon tea (or afternoon champagne). When the sun goes down, continue the merriment at the Carlton Bar & Lobby: blazing fireplaces make the regal space feel absolutely inviting, and live piano music alongside a memorable atmosphere has earned the lounge the distinction of being named among the best hotel bars in the world.
