Badrutt's Palace Hotel
About the hotel
"St. Moritz’ iconic Badrutt’s Palace Hotel is a tribute to old-school elegance and all things luxurious, boasting charming guestrooms, fabulous dining and Switzerland’s oldest nightclub."

The stately hotel was built in 1896 and retains a timeless air of old-school elegance that is at once both impressive and inviting. Many of the original features remain (think soaring ceilings and 19th-century artworks) and can be appreciated most especially in the common areas. 156 guest rooms and suites continue that charming ambience with the addition of ample modern amenities: airy rooms are filled with natural light, and plush furnishings tend toward the traditional. Marble bathrooms are wonderfully roomy, and views – especially those overlooking the lake – stun. Our only gripe with the otherwise supremely pleasantly spaces is the unfortunate lack of coffee making accoutrements.
You’ll have to venture downstairs for your morning caffeine fix; have an espresso alongside your first meal of the day at the ample breakfast buffet. Hit the slopes until you’ve worked up an appetite, and then venture back to the hotel for lunch: you’ll be spoilt for choice with 11 restaurants to choose from, alongside three bars and a nightclub to boot. The range of cuisines ensure that every palate will be catered to, whether that means feasting on familiar pizza and pasta dishes in the spirited Pizzeria Heuboden, or Nobu’s iconic Japanese-Peruvian flavours at the unlikely (but nevertheless spectacular) La Coupole Matsuhisa. Traditional Apline fare and hot apres ski cocktails await at Paradiso St.Moritz, while rustic romance can be found in Chesa Veglia – which just so happens to be housed in St. Moritz's oldest farmhouse. Not to be outdone, the King’s Club at Badrutt’s Palace holds the distinction of being the oldest nightclub in not only St. Moritz, but in all of Switzerland – suffice it to say, it's well worth a visit for drinks and dancing.
Though you could easily spend your entire stay hopping from one restaurant to the next, you’ll find plenty to do within these walls and just beyond them. Skiing is a natural choice, but the hotel also offers fitness classes, ice skating, volleyball, tennis and myriad other activities, as well as an indoor-outdoor pool and a fabulous spa to keep you on your feet (whether they’re in shoes or on skis) for the duration of your stay.
