Named for the US President who once stayed in it, the Reagan Presidential Suite is set in the castle's oldest wing and features an original fireplace, antique portraits, stunning lake views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a striking George III-style canopy bed. A popular choice for a romantic getaway, the secluded Hideaway Cottage is set within private gardens on the shore of Lough Corrib and features a private lakeside dining terrace, a fully-stocked bar, bicycles to explore the ground and carefully curated decor including a Blue Murano glass chandelier.
Dine beneath (yet more) shimmering Waterford Crystal chandeliers in the George V Dining Room, where you can start your morning with Kilowen yoghurt topped with local honey or an Irish charcuterie platter. Vegan and vegetarian menus are available for each meal, including the eight-course tasting menu designed to showcase produce from local farms and fine wines from around the world. Traditional afternoon tea is served in the Connaught Room, while The Drawing Room is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or a light lunch. The Dungeon Restaurant embraces the castle's history with Medieval-inspired decor and traditional Irish cuisine, while Cullen's at the Castle offers casual international cuisine in a charming thatch-roofed cottage. Visit the 16th-century cellars for a private wine tasting, or stop by the Prince of Wales to sip artisan cocktails beside the flickering fireplace.
Guests can enjoy a host of on-site activities including falconry, horseback riding, fishing excursions and clay pigeon shooting. Browse shelves of rare antiques in the library, treat yourself to a massage in the award-winning spa or visit the Billiards Room for a game on the snooker table. Young guests will love calling the hotel's Lego Butler to have blocks delivered to their room, while adults can take part in the Maker Program, which invites them into the workshops of local craftsmen to learn about their trade first-hand.
