Because the local area is full of colourful temples and markets, you may want to take one of the resort’s bikes or go by tuk-tuk to explore.
Excursions include visits to national parks, a trip to a nearby turtle conservation project where you can see hatchlings (between April and September) and whale-watching boat trips from Mirissa Harbour (about 90 minutes away) between December and April. Culturally, there are tea plantations, the Galle Fort and the ancient rock temples of Mulkirigala to discover.
Unlike other hotels in the Tangalle area, this one has a children’s and a teen’s club. It provides supervised activities and a shaded playground, whilst the main swimming pool at the resort includes a children’s section.
