The ancient port city of Aqaba dates back to 4000 BCE, and in recent years has become a popular destination for watersport enthusiasts thanks to its excellent windsurfing and scuba diving scene. Al Manara’s iconic location places it as close to the water as one can get without swimming, making the property a boon for adventurous travellers, as well as for those who just appreciate gorgeous waterfront views. Many of the resort's rooms take full advantage of these marvellous views; be sure to book either a “Sea View” or “Lagoon View” accommodation to ensure the most stunning vistas. Regardless of views, all accommodations have private outdoor areas, and some of the loftier options boast private pools as well. Across the board, all are decorated in a sophisticated palette of ivory and mocha punctuated by accents of wine red. Kubba Levantine Restaurant serves regional cuisine with a creative twist, and its vibrant menu showcases local produce and craft cocktails. Taybeh Al Manara Restaurant features authentic Mediterranean with a touch of Jordanian flair and boasts a live-station buffet alongside succulent grilled and slow-cooked dishes. International offerings and a live DJ make Amwaj Terrace a marvellous spot for lunch or dinner with a view; this venue is particularly lovely at sunset while sipping on a drink from Amwaj Wine Bar. Other libations can be found in the breezy lobby bar or poolside at Sabeel Pool Bar.
