New York Fashion Week Showcasing Spring/Summer '25

ASMALLWORLD

This New York Fashion Week, September 6-11, designers and discerning fashion lovers will bring their sartorial elegance to the city that never sleeps. Established and emerging designers will present their Spring/Summer 2025 collections for the buzzy event, which is organised by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. It’s time to practice your runway walk as the city becomes a stage – look out for the street-style photographers outside the Starrett-Lehigh Building near Chelsea Waterside, where the shows will be held. Here are the shows that are most anticipated by our editors, and where we’ll be staying in Manhattan. And if you're not able to attend NYFW in person this year, you'll be able to stream certain shows via nyfw.com, allowing you to experience the excitement of the event from wherever you are in the world. This year, you can watch shows from a range of designers on the website, including Hervé Léger and Maria Moscone.

Dramatic Silhouettes & Modern Perspectives

The shows kick off on 6 September as emerging designer Grace Ling will make her mark on the NYFW schedule. Ling, who debuted at NYFW in September 2023, has quickly become known for her architectural designs that express sensuality and surrealism. Her pieces, which often incorporate elements inspired by human anatomy, have already caught the attention of fashion insiders.

New York native Sandy Liang will present her signature blend of downtown cool and nostalgic femininity on 8 September. Liang's designs often draw inspiration from her childhood in Chinatown with unexpected fabric combinations and playful textures. And avant-garde label Eckhaus Latta – founded by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta – will blur the lines between art and fashion, presenting deconstructed silhouettes and innovative textile manipulations.

Pared-Back Sophistication & Minimalist Forms

Khaite will present its latest collection on 7 September, drawing on classic American sportswear with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Founded by Catherine Holstein, the label has quickly become a favourite for its refined silhouettes and elevated materials, offering elegant pieces that explore structure and fluidity. Later, Prabal Gurung will present a vibrant collection that captures the namesake designer’s bold use of colour and prints, which often draw inspiration from his Nepalese heritage and travels. Expect dramatic eveningwear and sophisticated daywear.

Under the creative direction of Wes Gordon, Carolina Herrera's designs will be shown on September 9, with feminine dresses in vibrant colours and nods to classic tailoring, all realised in elevated fabrics. The following day on 10 September, Totême will take the spotlight with a collection that embodies the brand's commitment to modern elegance and refined simplicity. Founded by Swedish designers Elin Kling and Karl Lindman, Totême is celebrated for its minimalist aesthetic, characterised by clean lines, sophisticated silhouettes and high-quality fabrics.
