About the restaurant Robata

An electric moon shines over the steel metropolis, illuminating the first floor of the neo-Liberty building of Ronin 浪人, now a symbol of Japan in Milan. Reopening its doors, it invites the city on a sensory journey between fire and tradition, where the ancient ritual of the grill becomes poetry: the Yakiniku. Robata transforms into a place where conviviality takes centre stage. An experience that embodies Japanese taste and elegance, yet traces its roots back to the 20th century, blending ancient traditions with the Japanese palate.

Yakiniku – grilled meat. A simple daily gesture elevated to a refined art, where direct grilling meets the meticulous selection of the finest meats, creating an experience that captivates and enchants.

From Korea to Japan, this tradition now arrives at Via Vittorio Alfieri 17, completing the Ronin project. Ronin is more than just dining; it is entertainment, and Yakiniku was the missing piece of this vision. Sushi remains an essential part of the menu, seamlessly integrating with the Yakiniku concept, while the selection of premium meats takes centre stage.

Ronin Robata is one of the few restaurants in Milan registered with the Kobe Consortium, a distinction that signifies true excellence in the world of Wagyu. It also collaborates with Muhenaru Ozaki-san, the only Japanese breeder authorised to give his name to Wagyu meat.

The menu features three types of high-end Wagyu, all classified A5—the highest quality. It also introduces a rare highlight: the use of six different Wagyu cuts, including secondary parts not typically utilised, offering an exclusive experience at more accessible prices. Alongside these selections, Ronin offers six varieties of international meats, ensuring a diverse and refined menu.

The experience begins with shared appetisers such as smoked aubergine gyoza, mini Wagyu burgers, nigiri, and sushi mix. It then moves to the selection of premium meats, served at the table and ready for grilling. Accompanying the meats are carefully curated side dishes and vegetables, the Kobachi, which also provide vegetarian guests with thoughtfully designed options.

The sizzling calls, the aroma envelops, time slows down, and the pleasure of dining becomes a boundless experience—a bridge between cultures, united by the burning fire of the grill. Ronin Robata reopens its doors: the journey continues.
