Stroll through the stunning façades, arches and green spaces of Polanco, guided by fellow ASW Members, as we explore how nature and urban living intertwine. Afterwards, unwind with a delicious brunch at Pepe in the stylish Kimpton Hotel, where a complimentary welcome drink, great company and exquisite dishes await.
Dress comfortably for the walk, and don’t forget sun protection and water – let’s bloom together!
MEETING POINT: 10:30 am @ Café Garat Masaryk – we’ll walk approximately 1.5 km to admire the façades.
Bring comfortable shoes and clothing for hot weather, as well as an umbrella or sunblock and drinking water.
The Festival de Flores y Jardines (FYJA), or Flowers and Gardens Festival, is an annual event that transforms the Polanco district of Mexico City into a vibrant floral spectacle. This festival gathers florists, artists, and landscapers who decorate facades, shops, and public spaces with stunning floral installations.
The FYJA's primary goal is to celebrate the beauty of flowers and gardens, while also promoting the importance of green spaces in urban environments. Through its exhibitions and activities, the festival aims to raise awareness about environmental conservation and encourage creativity in floral and landscape design.
Polanco Flowers Fest 2025
The sixth edition of the Polanco Flowers and Gardens Festival (FYJA) will take place from April 3rd to April 6th, 2025. The central theme of this edition is "Gardens of the Future," exploring the interaction between nature and the cities of tomorrow.
Key Activities:
- Floral art exhibitions: Florists, artists, and landscapers will decorate facades in MASARYK AVE. and public spaces with themed installations
- Floral arches: Floral arches will be placed in Parque America and Avenida Horacio.
- Workshops and conferences: Educational sessions to promote environmental conservation and highlight the importance of green spaces.
