Visiting Es Vedrà at sunset is an almost spiritual experience; the play of colours moving on the rock face creates a surreal backdrop, perfect for an intimate moment with your loved one.

While it used to be possible to climb Es Vedrà, it’s now prohibited. However, you can still get up close and personal with this majestic rock formation by renting a yacht or boat. As you sail past the shimmering blue waves, you’ll both feel a sense of peace and contentment wash over you. This spot is considered so beautiful, spiritual, and sacred that many couples even opt to get married with Es Vedrà as their backdrop.

On the west coast of Ibiza, less than a 10-minute drive from the Es Vedrà viewpoint is the quiet white-sand beach Cala d’Hort. This sandy spot is less visited than many other beaches near busier destinations like Ibiza Town and Playa D’en Bossa. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and offering spectacular views of Es Vedrà, this beach is ideal for couples seeking a romantic escape from the more crowded parts of the island. The soft, golden sands and the gentle lap of waves create a soothing ambience. Bring a picnic packed with delicacies like local queso de cabra (goat’s cheese) and pan payés (rustic, thick-crusted bread) or simply bask in the sun together, soaking in the serene atmosphere.

Cala Xarraca, in the north of Ibiza, is famed for its glimmering blue waters and postcard-perfect bay. This secluded spot is home to a small, sandy beach and rocky surroundings. The waters here are ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Duck beneath the waves to discover Ibiza's vivid marine life with your other half, keeping your eyes peeled for the likes of gliding octopus, chunky grouper fish, and schools of sardines and anchovies. Then, why not head to the natural Xarraca Mud Baths nearby for a quirky stop on your romantic getaway?

Ibiza's Old Town, or 'Dalt Vila', is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with charm and history. If you’re looking for a romantic base to visit various parts of the island, Ibiza Old Town is an excellent option. The town is a labyrinth of narrow cobblestoned passageways, whitewashed houses, and secret courtyards, each turn revealing a pretty café, boutique, or restaurant to keep you occupied. The Cathedral of Santa Maria d'Eivissa at the top of the town offers scenic views of the island, making it a perfect pit-stop for a romantic evening. After visiting the cathedral, dine in one of Ibiza’s most romantic restaurants, such as La Oliva, renowned for its intimate setting and mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine.

For one of the best views of Ibiza, journey to Sa Talaia, the highest point of the island. This special viewpoint offers a 360-degree view of Ibiza's diverse landscapes - from the deep blue sea to the lush, green countryside. Watching the sunrise or sunset from here, with the island bathed in golden hues, is a memory to cherish together forever. You can drive to the summit, following the signs from the Sant Josep–Cala Vedella Road. Or take on the challenge of an uphill hike. The walk to the top, starting from Sant Josep village, takes just over an hour and follows a well-marked 2.5km trail.

There are plenty of different areas to stay in Ibiza, each with unique characteristics and benefits.
