Smart Packing for your Autumn Adventures

Smart Packing for your Autumn Adventures

Not sure how best to pack for trips this autumn? Our editors have listed a selection of tips and tricks to keep your packing to a minimum.

Layer up

Autumn weather can be unpredictable, so it's important to pack items that can easily transition between indoor and outdoor temperatures. Lightweight shirts, jumpers and jackets are ideal as they can be added or removed with ease. We also recommend packing a selection of relaxed trousers, so you can alternate between whatever feels most comfortable.

Expect a little rainfall

Autumn showers are likely, so packing waterproofs will prepare you for any sudden storms. Dark-coloured clothing also tends to work well at this time of year, since the dark shades hide any dirt from trudging along rain-soaked streets.

BE PREPARED, RAIN OR SHINE

Pack practical footwear

You heard it from us: practical can still be stylish. A pair of waterproof boots or trainers are ideal for both urban and rural settings – and don’t forget to pack some cosy socks, especially once the temperature declines.

Use your space wisely

When it comes to your outfit choices, only pack the essentials plus any useful accessories like scarves and gloves. Opt for small, travel-friendly toiletries and roll up items of clothing to save as much space as possible. By planning in advance and packing adaptable pieces, you’ll be ready to embrace the changing seasons while staying chic and comfortable throughout your adventures.

PACK NEATLY TO FIT IN MORE ESSENTIALS
