Every effort has been made to integrate the property into the surroundings. The exterior is built using locally quarried stone and designed to mimic the ubiquitous ruined watchtowers that dot the Mallorcan landscape. Interiors lend themselves to Mediterranean minimalism and subtle touches are designed to evoke the aura of the area from the local artwork, which adds splashes of colour to the walls, to the delightfully omnipresent scent of oranges and lavender that permeates the air all around.

The 121 rooms, of which 26 are suites, are spacious and have either sea or Tramuntana Mountain views. Locally inspired gifts are placed in the rooms for guests to enjoy: things like dates, oranges, bio wine, olive oil and Mallorcan flor de sal, sea salt from the island’s salt flats. Rooms are tastefully done up in soft neutral tones of cream, beige and stone, a colour scheme that is complemented by eye-catching jewel-toned accents; a mauve statement wall here, a plush cerulean sofa there. The spaces boast supremely comfortable beds and furnishings, as well as a Nespresso machine for that early morning cup of joe; enjoy it al fresco, on your room’s balcony or terrace.
The marble bathrooms are large and luminous and come stocked with Natura Bissé amenities and lots of fluffy white towels draped on a towel warmer. All have walk-in rain showers, bathtubs and two sinks. Housed within the eleven low-rise buildings, rooms are scattered on various levels around the hotel’s one-kilometre-long site. All are connected by natural stone walkways and gardens and, although at first, it may seem that navigating the hotel is a daunting prospect, you are never far from one of the property’s eleven lifts.
The hotel has a gorgeous spa that comprises a well-equipped gym, an open-air heated hydropool, two hammams, salt steam bath, ice fountain, relaxation room and a sauna. There’s a kids’ club, kid’s menus, furniture and a dedicated pool.
The Cap Roig Brasserie is the hotel’s signature dining venue but, if you’re looking for tapas and a more relaxing atmosphere, above the infinity pool is Es Fanals restaurant. There’s a pool bar and Sunset Lounge as well, and don’t miss the bountiful breakfast that’s included in your room rate.
